What is Magnetic Therapy?
Magnetic therapy is based on the theory that when delivered directly to the body magnetic fields can stimulate healing from a range of health problems. Although its health claims include the treatment of multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, insomnia, inflammation, and even cancer and heart disease, there is little scientific evidence for magnetic therapy's effectiveness.

STRESS AND SUCCESS __ DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The implicit implication of the question; “How are you?” is “Whether we have succeeded in conquering the struggle of life (stress); or it is taking the better out of us”!

We usually answer “fine or OK” and get rid of the question! This is because there is nothing much to talk about our success or failure; in terms of monetary profit, political power, competition success etc. Sometimes; if we have earned excess of money, fame, popularity and power; and are euphoric about it; we say “We are on top of the world!” On the contrary; if we have failed in getting all these; then we are frustrated and give outlet to it in some other way and feel hurt for having lost self respect and dignity. In that case we may expect sympathy and help and may or may not get it!

The content of the word “success”; however; becomes more and more profound; as we mature; and develop global and holistic perspective! We begin to understand that success at different age and in different situations can vary tremendously.

Thus for a new born baby the first breath is the greatest success as it makes difference between life and death. Similarly; getting few drops of water can be a great success; for a farmer in famine.
But in general; the success can be comprehended holistically; in following manner!

The first step to success is to understand that there is a problem (stress); and that; it can be managed. The second step is to get holistic solutions to it. The third step is to be able to crystallize and apply them; or articulate them. The fourth step to success; is to understand the scope and limitations of the solutions; in a given individual, situation, time frame, and on an individual or global canvas; and accept it happily without grumbling. The fifth step to success; is surrendering the endeavors, which we thought as “ours” to the source from where they sprang! The sixth step is surrendering ourselves; to; and merging with our own immortal source!

All these six steps apply to every individual; irrespective of age, sex, occupation, caste, creed, religion, race and nationality. Every step may involve years or even decades; depending on the nature of stress or problems.

The example of success in Total Stress Management can be described as follows. The first step of success is; recognizing the stress of mortal life and the second is; getting the holistic solutions. The third step is; crystallizing and applying i.e. treading the path of Total Stress Management and articulating and sharing the details of the sojourn; with others. The fourth step is to happily accept the result; as the solutions have their own scope and limitations. The fifth step of success is; surrendering the endeavors, which we thought as “ours” to the “source” from where they spring. The sixth step of the success; is to return to immortal source of the solutions and be immortal!!!

NAMA (BRAHMA) is the immortal source of holistic solutions to individual and global stress. NAMASMARAN is the process of growth and maturity; so as to recognize the stress, comprehend it holistically, get the holistic solutions, crystallize, apply and share them with others, accept the result (determined by several factors) happily, return the whole endeavor to NAMA from where it springs gratefully; and return to NAMA for ever to be immortal!

GLORY OF FAILURE DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The example of “glory of failure” in Total Stress Management can be described with respect to the successes; as follows.
The first step of success is; recognizing the stress of mortal life. This very recognition is simultaneously; painful, igniting and motivating. It triggers the expedition of stress management. This is associated with greater stress or challenge to manage the stress which is universal! The ignorant ones or the callous ones may not suffer from this.
We fail to be selfish and careerist. We fail to be rich; if assessed with materialistic yardsticks! Even our simple requirements may not be fulfilled. Moreover; as we are preoccupied in the expedition of understanding the challenge of stress i.e. injustice, sorrow and maladies of life; we fail to be indifferent to enjoy the celebrations and festivities. This isolates us from family, friends and society also; to a great extent.
But in this failure lies to the glory of being more keenly engaged in solving the problem stress; that plagues us along with millions.

The second step to success is; getting the holistic solutions.
But this is not at all easy. It is inevitably associated with internal devastating turmoil and hence failure to be involved in piecemeal solutions and sectarian curriculums and day to day work; to one’s own satisfaction! But as a result of this failure; we can make glorious contributions in evolving holistic perspective, policies, plans and programs and their implementation.

The third step to success is; crystallizing and applying i.e. treading the path of Total Stress Management and articulating and sharing the details of the sojourn; with others.
This is associated with failure to match the popular demands and hence met with commercial financial failure. But the glory of this failure is in terms of going through the ordeal of being true to our core. This honesty sharpens our perceptions and keeps us free from commercial considerations and entanglement; and multiplies the accuracy, potentials and scope of our solutions.
This accuracy is also because; as a result of commercial failure; we are not bloated with pride. This prevents us from being trapped in deceptive, hollow and vain glamour, glitter and temptations, which prejudice our perspective, thoughts, feelings and actions.
The fourth step to success is to happily accept the result; as the solutions have their own scope and limitations.
Accepting the “not so glamorous result” is difficult. But even if we succeed in this; it is usually associated with the apprehension of being passive and defeatist. This is on the background of aggressive and imposing behavior of sectarian forces. Thus the failure to be overconfident and aggressive; keeps us out of the limelight. But the glory of this failure is that we are out of rat race and our ego goes on melting.
We begin to appreciate that merely “not being arrogant and proud” is not enough! Still greater accuracy is needed! We begin to understand that even the attachment and commitment to “our” ideological perceptions and convictions can throttle our freedom. We begin to appreciate the paramount role of NAMASMARAN in further overcoming the subjectivity/ego.
The fifth step of success is; surrendering the endeavors, which we thought as “ours” to the “source” from where they spring.
This kind of surrender is like death. But even if we succeed in this; we usually fail to project ourselves with so called style and flamboyance. We fail to carry the facades of greatness. We fail to impose our leadership through self aggrandizement. This is as painful as publicly stripping ourselves! The stripping of ego; makes us feel empty and low. But this failure has the glory of being free from every burden and shackling. Being free of ego; is a unique experience of being naturally connected with others by a sublime bond of love.
The sixth step to the success; is to return to immortal source of the solutions and be immortal!!!
This is obviously not easy. But as we begin to succeed in this; we begin to get glimpses of immortality and feel like being in convalescence! This leads to failure in being practical and abandon the activities of “financial security”! The glory of this failure however; is “the stepwise return to NAMA, BRAHMA or SACCHIDANANDA i.e. GURU; through NAMASMARAN; at the cost of otherwise worthless mortal life.

stress and meditation __ doctor shriniwas kashalikar

beware of meditation!

“beware of meditation”? why should we or any one; bother about such a caution? isn’t such caution itself; actually misguiding and harmful?

what is wrong in the instructions given at the time of meditation workshops? these instructions appear to be meant for composure and relaxation of mind.

for instance, these instructions are;
“lie down in the open on your terrace; focus your mind on the blue and clear sky, gradually the sky would enter in you and you would have transcended mind”,
“sit in lotus position. let the atmosphere in your room be free of insects, free of dust, free of noise and free of other distractions. you may light an incense stick. you can have a photo or painting of your guru or a deity who elevates your mood or inspires you. then begin by breathing slowly and observe your own breathing”, “sit in a lotus posture. breathe slowly. focus your mind on a spot at your navel”,
“observe a round spot on a plane background of the wall. sit quietly. let the thoughts flow”,
and so on!

there appears to be nothing wrong in these!

yes; actually; there is nothing wrong in meditation per se and there is nothing wrong in the instructions as well!

the word meditation has its root, in “healing”. meditation is in practice in different forms for millennia in countries like india. meditation has no religious bias or cultural prejudice. meditation has whatsoever no element of any kind of coercion. meditation is a state that follows the process of evolution of body, instincts, emotions, intelligence and perspective and relaxes and endows peace!

but there is everything wrong; when the same word; “meditation” is misused to sell an “escapist mercenary gimmick”; as a panacea! it is detrimental to the buyer and seller; because it makes us callous cowards!

hence the word “meditation” is used here to imply; the commodity and mirage that is hyped, marketed, sold; as if it is an instant panacea for all the problems of universe; which we pay for; heavily and stupidly! this “meditation” is actually a caricature or even a vulgarization of meditation.

but beyond all this; to reach the truth, let us ask ourselves the following questions!

can we feel relaxed simply by meditation as is promoted and taught; even as we are in the stress of paying about 30 percent income tax (apart from sales tax, property tax etc.) without knowing how it is spent?

conversely; can we feel relaxed by sheer practice of meditation; even as we have to take such decisions against our conscience?

can we feel relaxed just by meditation; even while taking all such decisions lying down and suffering from them?

can we conquer the stress of commuting; irrespective of the crowd and other physical torture; merely by meditation?

can we conquer the stress of lack of housing, water, electricity, education, medical care; by meditation alone?

if not, then we need something far more holistic than mere meditation, especially in the form and way; it is hyped and marketed. we need what may be called total stress management.

what is total stress management?

1. total stress management (total stress management) constitutes; understanding the concept of stress, going to its root causes, effects, pathophysiology, mechanism, dimensions, support systems, holistic measures of management; as completely as possible! this requires active intellectual efforts by the participants. active intellectual participation makes it more difficult and less popular.

relaxation programs; meditation, pranayama, bhajan, arbitrary tips in the management books; as well as ready to use products; are easy and provide; instant emotional solace and relaxation; even if it is temporary. but if the root causes are not treated, then they prove to be counterproductive!

2. total stress management constitutes efforts towards simultaneous welfare of one and all and not merely that of an individual. this requires broadening of perspective. this is time consuming and may not give instant results in terms of tangible petty gains!

this also makes it more difficult and less popular because everyone is already preoccupied and hard pressed with personal problems of one kind or another. coming out of one’s “individual universe” is a herculean task for most of us, because we fail to understand; how welfare of ‘others’ would contribute to ‘our welfare’!

the mercenary marketing of so called meditation breeds indolence, inertia and socially respectable easy temporary escape.

3. total stress management deals with stress; in totality.

we equate with mere tension, anxiety, worry, sleeplessness, irritability, depression, frustration etc. actually this is only a small and conscious part of stress. stress is universal. every living being has stress. stress is actually conscious and also unconscious. unconscious stress forms a major part and is not perceived!

this also leaves most of us to commit the blunder of believing that we do not have stress!

the mercenary marketing of “vulgarized caricature of meditation” has made us believe that we can sit in a cozy room and solve all our problems, without any kind of evolution! we remain in fool’s paradise that; through the short cut of such “so called meditation” we can manage stress; without making any difference to the material life of ours and the others! we forget the importance selflessness and simultaneous global blossoming in all the fields of life.

4.total stress management teaches that perspective, policies, planning, execution of sound intellectual solutions to personal and social problems can not be substituted by un-intellectual emotional games and gimmicks; such as so called meditation and so called devotion and so called charity.

total stress management teaches that real meditation, real devotion and real charity; are impossible; in absence of intellectual efforts to rectify the social homeostasis!

many of us feel that it is impossible to solve social problems and hence fail to do our own bit in this direction and get dragged into; the caricature of meditation. it is a part of many stress relaxation or stress management programs and is least demanding. it does not involve thinking, questions, arguments and action, but pampers our passivity! we simply have to “take the trouble” of joining some group by paying fees. it often pampers our basal instincts, personal emotional needs and intellectual escapism; through similar peers; and the ambience, food and glamour associated with it!

5. the concept of total stress management is not new in essence; but is new, novel and holistic in its exposition.

many of us; from media, politics, religion and other fields are not aware of total stress management. it is also true that due to the frenzy of material success; we do not have innate thirst to learn about total stress management.

it is strange; but true; that most of us; in scarcity (due to frustration) and in abundance (due to delirious obliviousness) are not able to grasp and practice total stress management!

marketed gimmicks of meditation never ask us to study (uphill activity) any social problems! they pamper our indolence and pettiness! hence most of us find them comforting.

6. total stress management aims at harmony between perspective, intelligence, emotions, instincts and body; and aims at best efforts of global welfare through laws, rules, and conventions and so on.

the farce of meditation has nothing to do with anybody else other than the individual himself or herself! there is implicit or explicit indifference; and no botheration about the world, society or family!

7. total stress management firmly upholds individual freedom to achieve total well being and suggests us to acquire and practice such freedom!

the marketing of the gimmicks of so called meditation; is a part of promoting our individualistic pursuits of petty pecuniary goals, through fashionable escapist tantrums, which alien us from rest of our brothers; and degrade us as human beings!

8. total stress management is not an explicit part of already existing tradition, religion or atheism. it does not pamper any personal ego and does not seek sponsoring by any multinationals or corporate houses. it is an irresistibly incoming thing; independent of all this and would be a universal force that would blossom the universe.

the escapist gimmicks of “so called meditation” have support and sponsorship from; the multinationals, corporate houses, celebrities, businessmen and political leaders for their personal gains. this support and sponsorship is sometimes even more than that for any entertainment business and personality! hence “marketing meditation” is a far more popular and flourishing (but not fulfilling the conscience) business!

9. total stress management suffers demoralization due to non acceptance by; the pro-tradition, theist, anti-tradition and atheist groups!

the so called meditation does not interfere with any policy matters and does not come in the way of our own and others’ vested interests or prejudices; and hence has no opposition; from theist and atheist traditions!

10. relative delay in publication, reading and consensus building of total stress management; is often interpreted as god’s will!

it is true; that such a delay; is god’s will! the success of the crass mercenary, treacherous and mean gimmicks of meditation is also god’s will!

but the change that is imminent; is also god’s will, which we may or may not be able to see!

11. the total stress management (total stress management) being a relatively new exposition can be misunderstood, ignored or criticized; hence there is delay as well as obstacles. but it is bound to succeed; because it is god’s will, cosmic decision and the plan of absolute enlightenment or writing on the wall!

the “so called meditation” has no such fear of being misunderstood, ignored or criticized! it is going to perish because of the inherent limitations, vanity and contradictions in it!

12. total stress management involves genuinely honest struggle to engender holistic renaissance. it involves dedicated efforts to overcome; inappropriate asceticism, indulgence, frustration, inaction, non-assertion and even escapism.

the caricature of meditation lacks the genuinity, honesty, intensity, involvement, dedication and the adventure of pursuit of truth! it is trivial, irrelevant, ineffective and insignificant in every respect.

13. the total stress management involves unavoidable uncertainty of life! this is because there is no false assurance about tangible gains such as; health, money, fame, power, or even moral superiority!

the mediocrity of so called meditation makes it superficial and farcical. it does not have anything to do with our (and others’) hearts and souls; and our wellbeing! since it does not need serious involvement it keeps on appealing most of us as a casual activity; and hence it spreads like a fashion.

14. the total stress management totally lacks the dictatorial attitude and nurturing of vested interests for example forming a cult or establishing an institution or organization!

it is universal and hence; even though it goes on making a definite and significant difference in several ways; nobody would get a credit or profit from it!

the traders of “so called meditation”; succeed; largely because of the cooperation of other businesses and the games of management!

15. total stress management lacks the excitement associated with glamour and glitter involved in entertainment businesses such as cinema, sports etc. hence it does not pick the fancy of even talented individuals.

the so called meditation and stress relaxation programs are emulating the entertainment and showbiz; and hence no wonder; are amassing money, glamour and glitter.

but with globalization, the passivity is dwindling (though imperceptibly) and compelling the global political and intellectual leadership to study and practice total stress management; even though in different semantics.

16. some of the books on total stress management are comparatively less lucid and little more tedious, because of the emphasis given on accuracy and efficacy rather than literary qualities. but, when the social psyche gets ready for digesting certain concepts (for example oneness of spiritualism and materialism and oneness of theism and atheism); total stress management is bound to spread like wild fire.

the mirage of “so called meditation” dwells in hallucinatory utopia and hence is easily sold!

we are bound to understand its true nature and hollowness; as all of us are evolving. hence; we would abandon it forever; due to its being palliative, alien, escapist and thus counterproductive in nature (multiplying problems in individual and social life)!

17. it is also possible that there are still some inaccuracies and or deficiencies left in total stress management, which have to be rectified, while studying and practicing it. this is going to happen as the world is already coming together and blossoming together; in spite of the apparently dismal picture!

the hyped and marketed tricks of meditation and stress relaxation have built in contradictions and or deformity of pettiness. hence they are bound to be shunned!

18. the personal deficiencies of any one who studies total stress management; are considered as human and hence neither glorified nor condemned nor hidden. total stress management does not flourish on such falsities; but aims to blossom together.

the deficiencies of the traders of the vulgarized meditation however; are concealed and hidden; and often; an unjustified and unphysiological asceticism is claimed, hyped, glorified and sold!

all this is due to utter darkness (tamas) of ignorance; and bound to vanish with rapidly spreading enlightenment.

19. most importantly, the namasmaran that is being connected with god; is a hallmark or actually a core of total stress management.

the “farce of meditation”; ignores, neglects or even discards this aspect completely! this is because; the fashion, fancy or whim of meditation and yoga can be “marketed and sold”; and have a greater potential to cheat and (and for common people to get cheated) financially. whereas namasmaran is free; and hence without any scope for financial cheating or getting cheated.

to remain involved in the “trivialized”, “vulgarized” and “mercenarily marketed” so called meditation; without any reference to; and concern for; the objective material conditions in and around; is; “self inflicted ‘spiritual’ perversion”!

can the practice of meditation, “help” the leaders, policy makers, decision makers, planners, administrators and the sufferers amongst us; to evolve and transform the scenario, and if yes; when?

is the philosophy and practice of meditation, mere “running after the mirage of stress management?

are these questions erratic, irrelevant or heretic?

is it arrogant to think; that it is “self inflicted spiritual castration; to neglect every evil; and merely keep practicing the so called meditation, without any reference to the objective material conditions”?

the holistic answer provided is that; all religious precepts, spiritual endeavors, spiritual disciplines, festivals, celebrations and a variety of rituals including; meditation, yoga and namasmaran are basically meant for evolving objective or holistic perspective and working in accordance with it.

if we take the analogy of the body functions, then the meditation, yoga and namasmaran; constitute the biochemical, biophysical and bioelectrical activities in brain respectively.

the holistic international perspective, policy making, programs and their implementation at ground level; constitute intellectual, emotional, instinctual and physical manifestations; of meditation, yoga and namasmaran.

meditation, yoga and namasmaran never were, never are and never would be sterile in terms of individual and global blossoming!

but what is marketed, sold or freely distributed (with ulterior motive), under these same “names and titles”; is cut off from ground realities; and devoid of the holistic solutions; and hence is trivialized and vulgarized caricature of meditation, yoga and namasmaran; and hence sterile or counterproductive!

thus; meditation, yoga and namasmaran; are inseparable from; physical, psychomotor, productive, instinctual, emotional, intellectual, creative and spiritual study and practices; linked with; study and application of the holistic solutions in the fields of health, education, agriculture, art, industry, economy, education, environment; which is called holistic renaissance, superliving or total stress management.

STRESS DEATH AND REBIRTH -- DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
One of the worst kinds of STRESS results from imminent death. We feel stressed even with the thought of our death; or that of our near dear ones. Usually we remain occupied in something or other and keep on escaping from such thoughts, calling them “negative”. If we are for some reason; in a hospital, we prefer to remain engaged in “positive thinking”!

We are not only afraid of death, but we are afraid of rebirth; as it forces us into; an unforeseen and possibly painful life; of an “individual or animal”.

The fear of death is a common phenomenon; with a physiological basis. Thus the fear is actually a sensation that results from autonomic outflow (impulses) causing visceral activities; such as pain in the chest, throbbing of heart, sinking of stomach, cold clammy extremities, and giddiness due to reduction in blood supply to brain.

The fear of death is actually because we identify strongly with these phenomena causing unpleasant sensation. The fear is more as and when we experience these unpleasant sensations (till we are able to detach ourselves from them). Hence the children are possibly not afraid due to inexperience. The very old ones are also probably not afraid as they too experienced to be afraid; as compared to us!

In other words; the STRESS is due to the fact that death of “our body” is considered to be or actually deeply convinced to be “our” death. In fact many of us believe that everything in life comes to an end after the death of the body. According to them the idea of rebirth is merely a vain imagination. They think it is an excuse; to deny the sovereignty and supremacy of nature and “our” inevitable mortality.

Let us understand the death and rebirth little more; so that our STRESS is reduced.

Let us appreciate that; the death (rebirth) does not always refer to the whole body. Our body cells are dead and lost to a variable extent; and new cells are born from time to time. Even our passions, emotions and thoughts are undergoing changes; in terms of vanishing of the old ones and appearance of the new ones. But we remain the same individuals!

Thus without denying our association with the changing existence, we can; to start with at least imagine; and later experience that we are changeless backdrop or background or substratum on which the changing cells, tissues and also; bodies are born, grown and perished. The consciousness is constant and the cycles of birth and rebirth continue on and within it!

In fact; the birth and rebirth; as we see and perceive; are the product of our physiological senses, our cerebral cortical capabilities and their limitations. The consciousness however “exists” beyond our limitations!

Rebirth; thus is not a matter of belief or disbelief. It is not a hypothesis, a postulation or a theory and certainly not a wild imagination or bluff; to explain the results of good deeds and bad deeds; or anything else. It is not a psychological tool for consoling or pacifying the suffering of people.

Rebirth of identities pertains to concurrent consciousness and memories. This is observed in case of certain historical figures such as Shripad Shrivallabh and Narasimha Saraswati (1378 to 1458). Others do not have the memory or consciousness to endorse rebirth.

The experimental or laboratory proof of the rebirth; through science; needs an accurate identification, definition and understanding of individual consciousness; as a separate entity. Because; we have to show; birth (easy), death (easy) and the individual consciousness and its relation to the individual who is born and dead; that “persists” after death (very difficult; unless we have a gadget that can capture the existence of individual consciousness).

So far; we do not have such a gadget. Moreover; our consciousness can not capture our consciousness in its entirety. “Our consciousness” cannot identify or demonstrate “our consciousness”; as a separate entity; to “our own consciousness”! Hence currently; it is not possible to “prove” rebirth!

However; if we practice NAMASMARAN; we can verify; these otherwise mysterious and esoteric aspects of birth, death, rebirth and immortality.

NEEDS AND DESIRES -- DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
Generally we vacillate between indiscriminate suppression of desires; and indiscriminate fulfillment of all desires!

7 billion people and innumerable animals and plants; have different instinctual, emotional, intellectual, psychomotor and creative needs. The irresponsible and indiscriminate suppression or gratification of these; has lead to universal stress at all levels in the form of poverty, hunger, deforestation, famines, global heating; on the one hand and corruption, indulgence, addictions, terrorism, persecution, riots and wars; on the other.

We should not be obsessed by the idea of either destroying the shad-ripus (six enemies); termed viz. KAMA, KRODHA, MOHA, MAD MATSAR and LOBHA; or indiscriminate indulgence in these.

There ought not to be a regimentalization. The needs have to be differentiated from the desires, whims or fancies. The biological needs; of the fetus, newborn, infants, toddlers, children, youths, pregnant mothers, and the elderly, are variable; and must be optimally fulfilled. It is implied that there have to be accurate international, national, regional and local policies and laws for this; and not mere outcry for philanthropy.

It is convincing that the ultimate destination of spiritual quest is immortality or self realization; and at certain stage of development an individual is beyond physiological existence.

But we seem to have forgotten that DHARMA is a holistic system enabling every person to tread this path of invincible supra- physiological and immortality; and not indiscriminate suppression or indulgence in SHAD-RIPUS. Hence; whether we have conquered or whether we indulge in SHADRIPUS; there ought to be unanimity on; the holistic perspective, policies, plans and programs and their implementation (SWADHARMA), which aim to optimally fulfill all these physiological needs of all.

This can enable us to practice NAMASMARN with greater intensity, involvement and selflessness. There is no “short cut” (bypassing the holistic perspective, policies, plans and programs i.e. SWADHARMA); to total stress management that ensures optimal fulfillment of individual needs and satisfactory conquest of SHADRIPUS.

Presently; our materialism and spiritualism perpetuate pursuits of subsidy, profits, glamour, glitter, popularity, fame, success, promotion; on the one hand; and trance, bliss, ecstasy, moksha, mukti, nirvana; respectively; on the other! Thus we continue to feel incomplete and frustrated or arrogant and delirious; in personal and social life; and keep perpetuating vicious cycle of; stressors-their mismanagement-further multiplication of stress; at individual, local, regional, national and international levels.

NAMASMARAN AND VISHVA KUNDALINI -- DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
The word VSIHVA KUNDALINI has appeared in the recent biography of Bhagawan Shri Shripad Shrivallabh.

Anyone, who is a believer of ATMANO MOKSHARTHAM JAGAT HITAYA CHA i.e. SAMASHTI YOGA or individual and universal blossoming; or haunted by the conviction of global welfare; would be overwhelmed by this extraordinary word VISHVA KUNDALINI.

The multicolored physical and physiological experiences and the multidimensional intense emotional components of life; ultimately culminate in KUNDALINI JAGRUTI; through the guidance of Sadguru.

The sublime experiences and noble behavior embody VISHVA KUNDALINI JAGRUTI; i.e. individual and universal blossoming; i.e. holistic renaissance. The main characteristics of this; is that; the majority of people practice NAMASMARAN, get focused on their core; and propagate the benevolent implications of NAMASMARAN in every field of life!

LOVE AND NAMASMARAN-- DR SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
Love is oxygen of life. But unlike the oxygen gas; it is mysterious. It is not clearly and completely understood by even those who experience it. It is beyond reasoning and logic.

Love between; husband and wife, mother and baby; have always been the central themes of many great novels, plays, films, paintings, sculptures, dances, poetry etc. But in all these; love is also associated with tracery, cheating, hatred, dread and vengeance.

In fact; in our personal life also; we often have love and hate relationship.

Why is this so? Why is life apparently so much in contrast to the ideals of love and peace?

This is because love and hate is a product of physiological, biochemical, psychological and social factors. Love and hate result from the involuntary autonomic, neuroendocrine, endocrine and metabolic activities. Love and hate happens to most of us. It is not “done” by us. Involuntary love and hate determine our attitudes, predispositions, ideologies and personal and social behavior.

Only a small minority goes through (rather quickly) the stages of BADDHA, MUMUKSHU, SADHAK and SIDDHA and variably transcends the physiological and other factors. This minority and its personal and social behavior; are far less influenced by involuntary “love and hate”.

NAMASMARAN being the simplest and universally acceptable activity; increases the proportion of this small minority.

In personal life; NAMASMARAN helps us transcend our physiological and other factors; and makes us less vulnerable to various external factors (e.g. to being manipulated sexually, emotionally, politically, financially and so on). This helps us to perceive the world more objectively and provide more holistic solutions to individual and global problems.

DIFFICULTIES IN NAMASMARAN -- DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR
There is a perennial question; “Why should I practice NAMASMARAN?” that keeps on surfacing from time to time; in our mind.
This is because it appears to be passive and irrelevant to our pains and pleasures. It does not seem to reduce pains or enhance pleasures. Moreover; it does not seem to do justice at social level as well. In fact; it appears to take us away from the reasonable “solutions” to; personal pains and pleasures and social injustice.
This is because; it is natural and physiological to keep reacting to pains and pleasures instinctively, emotionally and intellectually; without realizing that it is a repetitive and endless drudgery; unless coupled with transformation of our physical and physiological existence; called DEHABUDDHI.
This transformation is also natural but usually considered super natural or divine. It does not happen in the beginning. All the personal flaws and deficiencies; due to our physical, physiological, psychological and intellectual limitations; called DEHABUDDHI make us vulnerable to be hurt; or callous and inaccessible to our true innate core!
But gradually after variable number of years; such transformation begins through merging of DEHABUDDHI with NAMA through NAMASMARAN; and is associated with a concrete and pleasant experience of our own core, which is inseparable from the core of universe.

SPONTANEITY AND NAMASMARAN -- DR. SHRIIWAS KASHALIKAR
NAMASMARAN is admired, appreciated and advised by hundreds of saints.
But apparently; few fortunate are haunted by the mystery of NAMA, fewer pursue it and still fewer persist on it! Amongst these; very few are convinced of its cosmic benevolence and take it upon them to spread the glory of NAMA.
But there is nothing to despair; as the experience, conviction and joy of NAMA; go on multiplying and deepening endlessly. The beginners as well as the veterans; all; have a spontaneous spring of ambrosia to manifest and nurture the mankind and the universe; at appropriate time.
Practitioners of NAMASMARAN actually go on “digging within them”; and in the course of time (and at appropriate time); the spontaneous spring of ambrosia begins to break open into a fountain. This gives indescribable, innate and yet universally benevolent ecstasy!
One may not believe in all this; but verify; if one wishes; the power of NAMASMARAN; by practice!
