NAMA AND NAMASMARAN: DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKARThe words such BRHMA seem grand and hence far more appealing than the apparently trivial word NAMA and the seemingly ineffective activity such as NAMASMARAN or remembering of the name of God.
Hence we often tend to undermine the word “NAMA” and “NAMASMARAN”.
We have to appreciate that the ultimate experience of immortality and eternity of BRAHMA cannot be contemplated or acquired by voluntary means.
GURU is an individual, whose consciousness is inseparable from BRAHMA. He opens for us; the same experience; by giving us the full proof “key word” or “code word” for BRAHMA! Or; in other words; the BRAHMA itself motivates us (through the medium of a particular physical frame of GURU); to remember and merge with itself; using that particular word (a particular name); NAMA.
The BRAHMA therefore is implicitly embodied in NAMA and in turn; NAMA is the ultimate, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent truth; BRAHMA.
The activity of NAMASMARAN (often camouflaged by the nature, behavior, flaws and limitations of the individuals practicing it) may appear trivial. But actually, it is a process of reorienting and reuniting with BRAHMA.
Hence all of us (whether we practice NAMASMARAN or not); can rest assured; that NAMA (the trans-temporal reality beyond human conception) would certainly unravel and manifest holistic renaissance; in its own unimaginable and often unprecedented ways. NAMASMARAN enables and empowers us to merge with NAMA and blissfully witness its ongoing COSMIC ORCHESTRA.
