What are we? Dr. Shriniwas KashalikarIn general:
We the political leaders usually represent the unsatisfied instincts (fear, insecurity, needs).
We the economic leaders represent the unsatisfied ambition for money!
We the leaders in the field of art represent the unsatisfied passions and feelings such as suffering, pains and the urge of romance!
We the social leaders represent unsatisfied urge for egalitarian reforms.
We the academic leaders represent the unsatisfied intellectual pursuits!
But true leaders are those who represent the innate unsatisfied urge of Self realization. True religion, true spiritualism, true nonviolence, true secularism, and true progress are present only in an exalted state of such true leaders.
We preach and hype the words; “religion”, “spiritualism”, “nonviolence”, “secularism”, “progress” etc; and practice varying degrees of violence in physical, instinctual, emotional and intellectual behavior; and in economic, industrial, educational, agricultural such other policies, plans, programs and their implementation.
It is high time we follow the true leaders (whom we are neglecting, humiliating or exploiting for petty gains), by virtue of whom India is, was, and will continue to be a true world leader! All such true leaders advocate the practice and globalization of NAMASMARAN (JAP, JAAP, JIKRA, SUMIRAN, SIMARAN i.e. remembrance of God or reorientation to true Self)!
