The continuous epidural analgesia can also allow patient to be active and watchful of own surgery on the video monitor. The surgeon can chat with the patient and make the patient well versed with the steps. Many times in the surgical practice we have seen patient losing all the surgical records and that leaves the surgeon in situation where he has to get more and more costly investigations for availing the details of the patients condition.
