Medical Council of India has warned MBBS aspiring students and their guardians of India or NRIs not to take admission in any medical College which is not recognised by MCI.List of medical colleges recognised by MCI is on it's website.MCI further states that 69 colleges out of many medical colleges which were previously recognised are ineligible this time to take admission of colleges for session 17-18 and 18-19.Many colleges has been given permission but not allowed to take admission in this session.List of Recognised status and np of seats recognised has been displayed on MCI website with prominent underlying, students must check it.

Few Medical Colleges were granted permission for 150 students last year but their 50 seats quota has been snatched away this year as they were not found to have adequate teachers, patients or facilities to run academic for 150 students. In nutshell MCI under direction of Supreme Court has stated that no student should go to Medical college directly and ask for admission against any donation as otherwise they will loose carrier in college as well as their money in crores.Similiary if any Medical College is found to take more admission than seats recognised and if it is revealed by any student or informer that medical college may be derecognised in future.

A recent Advisory published by the Medical Council of India (MCI) has alerted students about the unscrupulous presence of elements misleading them by coming up with alluring admission offers of MBBS course admissions in medical colleges without attending the counselling sessions. The advisory was seen re-iterating all concerned that admissions for MBBS in all Medical Colleges falling within the purview of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 for the academic year 2017-18 has to be through the common counseling conducted by:

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India for 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges of the contributing states and for All MBBS seats in Medical Colleges run by Deemed Universities. The Designated Authority of the State/ Union Territory Government in respect of MBBS seats in Government Medical Colleges and Non-Governmental Medical Colleges The apex body has warned students saying that any admissions taken without attending the counselling session will be considered both ‘impermissable and illegal.’

Those students whose admission denied by college if they have been cleared by central or state counselling for not depositing full money should immediately report to Counselling and MCI and the court as recently the high court make one college bound to admit such students in Pondicherry.

If excess money charged by any medical college than decided by central or state government should report to MCI and Counselling authority as every college has to display name of student admitted and fee taken by the college if there is any discrepancy college recognition may be provoked ,student can also write about teaching facilities, number of teachers present including their exposure to patients in that college if it is not as per the website of college, recognition of college may be withdrawn too.

Therefore every student and their guardian should be fully informed of such steps taken by SC and MCI and should not submit to any broker or agent claiming to get admitted in any Medical college whose recognition has been withdrawn or not recognised at all.
