The report suggests that transgenders, those who have undergone gender reassignment surgery can consider the possibility of womb transplant which would allow them to carry babies in future.Thanks to the developments in womb transplantation, men could also get pregnant and have babies, claims one of the world's leading fertility experts.

        The success of womb transplantation in women have seen new heights so the expert believes that similar surgeries could be carried out on people who were born as men, reports The Independent.'You could do it tomorrow,' said Dr Richard Paulson, the fertility expert at a conference.

      'There would be additional challenges, but I don’t see any obvious problem that would preclude it. I personally suspect there are going to be trans women who are going to want to have a uterus and will likely get the transplant.'He added that while men and woman have a different shaped pelvis there would nevertheless be room for an implanted womb.

       However, the expert believes that the procedure would be extremely complicated and it’s likely that transgender women would have to give birth by caesarean section.In addition, hormones might have to be given to replicate the changes that occur while a woman is pregnant.
