Between 1000 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. on 6^th May, 2009, the Doctors’ Canteen, at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital , Nadiad had turned into a venue for a very happy birthday party.  It was a special event – full of joy, emotions and affection.  Thanks to the noble efforts of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ahmedabad, and the initiative of Miss Nikita Ghia and Medical Social Work (MSW) Department of the hospital, headed by Dr. Sujata Rajapurkar, the Canteen at MPUH had got decorated beautifully to celebrate the 15^th birthday of Miss Beautiful (name changed).  She has been undergoing dialysis at MPUH since four years under the expert care of Dr. Mohan Rajapurkar as she is suffering from End Stage kidney failure.  She is also a                                    dyslexic child. Despite facing so many difficulties in life, Miss Beautiful was seen so happy at the surprise birthday party, cutting the birthday cake, receiving several gifts and flowers from doctors, nurses and staff members. 

Ms. Susan Thomas, Programme Coordinator of Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the father of the girl were full of praise for the love and warmth so generously shown by the entire family of MPUH, comprising doctors, social workers, staff, nurses, technicians and the attendants.  Though the Foundation organizes such functions at various hospitals, Ms. Thomas said that the type of affection and love shown by MPUH doctors and staff was rare. Her parents had no words to express their happiness and thanks, and could not hide their emotions at the beautiful thoughts that went into the organization of such an event. 

Dr. Sujata Rajapurkar, Head of MSW thanked all who were present and wished Miss Beautiful many many happy returns of the day.
