STONE WAR

You may have heard about several wars - Indo-Pak war, gulf war, cold war, star wars, etc.  But, have you heard about Stone War?  

As you know, Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH), Nadiad is the leading hospital in India, and perhaps in the whole world, where maximum number of stone related diseases have been treated over the last 30 years.   MPUH will be hosting a two-day programme titled STONE WAR on the 29^th & 30^th of May, 2009.

Treating stones in India is a challenge, and it needs to be done on war footing with careful planning and accurate precision.  Stone management is full of controversies right from selecting investigation modality to treatment options & follow-up.  The matter becomes still complicated with additions of newer investigations, instruments or energy sources.  We can’t apply American or European guidelines in our situations.  During the two-day programme, we are planning to have in depth discussions on all controversies & variety of case discussions and then come out with Indian guidelines in stone management.  This exactly is what we consider as victory in Stone War.   The programme will be attended by leading Urologists from all over the country.

There will be a critic panel that will critically analyze every point brought out in discussions & come out with consensus to have a clear message.
