Over 4 lakhs death occur in India due to AIDS in 2005 which is highest in world.






20 lakhs death by tuberculosis is due to BEEDI smoking.






Beedi-smoking women shorten their lives by about 8 years on average. In man it shorten life by 6 years and for cigrette smoker it shorten 10 years






Smoking 1-7 beedis a day, raised mortality risks by 25 percent while smoking an equal number of cigarettes daily doubled the risk of death to 50 percent
