                Large Gall Bladder with unusual sized Gall Stone Removed                                                 

 

                                                 Through laparoscopy

 

 

At Rasi Hospital R. S Puram Coimbatore a 50 yr female admitted with

 

Complaints of severe abdominal pain, vomiting and loss of appetite of short Duration.  She was diagnosed to have gall bladder stones and after the work up was posted for gall bladder removal through laparoscopic surgery. Surgery was performed   and it was found that gall bladder was enlarged with a stone occupying the entire gall bladder, which was thinned out like a balloon.  Gall bladder with Gall Stone of size 7 cms in length and 3 cms in diameter, was removed  with difficulty through laparoscopic Surgery and the patient was discharged home in good condition

  

 

This is said to be a   rare and unusual presentation for such a big gall stone

 

and probably one of the Largest Gall Stones so far removed through

 

Laparoscopic surgery.  The  Surgery was performed by Dr Rajamani M . S M ch  Renowned  laparascopic  surgeon  and assisted by Dr Deepa Jayaram  M. D  and anesthesia was given by Dr Jeya Basker  M D 

 

This was informed to the press by Dr Deepa Jayaram M D Obstricitian and Gynecologist who  runs  Rasi hospital.
