Dengue fever is spreading by leaps and bound in New Delhi and NCR region,most cases of fever with pain around eye ball,severe head ache and pain in back,muscles,joints with suddent onset without any running nose,cough,old,sneezing features of FLU (which can be swine flu) are diagnosed as Dengue fever as Blood examining Antibodies to Dengue Virus is easily detected and oce we get it diagnosed as Dengue ,fear,panic and rumor spread like any thing,as a part of complete examination Doctor ask for Plateletcunt and total count as neutopenia(less Neutophils) with less platelet count are reported dengue is being taken as confirmed but most of time this platelet count is above 1lac so no matter of seroiusness actuall exist,no matter of panic as most Dengue attack are ordinary viral fever(95%) attack subside itself on simple taking tab like paracetamol 2-3 times a day after foos after consulting Doctor(Aspirin and Brufen is avoide as may cause bleeding)with plenty of fluid as water,fruit juice and milk is allowed as drinking.There is no need of admission in hospital,no need of saline or IV fluid ,these are simply treated at home as most Dengue cases this time are of mild type as Death has occured only in one patients out of 2700 cases detected so far.There is no specific antiviral or antibiotic medicine against this virrus ,simply take symptomatic supportic medicines with good hygeine and care ,ther person is relieved and once person got relieved second infection is very less likely as this infection provide good immunity.Dengue is not spread by person to person contact or by contagious contacts as cloths,food etc.,it is spread by bite of Aedes egyti female mosquito which reside in household collected water as in Gamla,tabla and Tubs of Flower pots in garden or terrace or roof of House,in water tank of House or Airconditioner or aircooler or collected water in sands broken rooads or repairing or constructing house ,road or office or any place in our house or working area as rains are too much this time,more and more constructions are going in Delhi so being Dengue endemic here has now presenting as epidemic here,so donot get frightened and fearful,fight with good resourced,clean all these water deposition centres around home or working place,use mosquito night and repellants over body in early hour of Day and Evening as this mosquito bite only this time not in night ,spray mosquito killer spray in every corner of house or office as prvention mosquito bite is best way to control it as no vaccine or prophylactic medicine exist for its control.less than 1% of Dengue cases move to dengue Haemorrhagic fever where patients starts bleeding from gum,mouth ,nose in vomiting or with passing stool and if this occurs admit patient in Government or private hospital Doctor after doing more tests if platelet count less than 50,000 will transfuse blood otherwise simple blood,antibiotics,antipyretics and fluid will control it as here death is not that common ,very rare Dengue shock syndrome here patient looses water ,blood become more dense and thickened occurs as hamatocrit valueof Blood increases here much fluid is allowed to drink if patients cannot drink we give first as crystallod fluid as normal saline,Glucose,Ringer lactate as IV bottle and lateron Colloid fluid as Haemmacl or Starch Haemasteril or Dextran 40 is transfsed iv with monitoring on platelet count with caring of every system of our body and with good support many patients recovers completely.

            Therfore dont spread panic,rumor and any thing seroius about Dengue in your friend circle,family,office or society and club and also spread same message to foreigners coming to New delhi to watch Common Wealth Games as simple measure will cure it ,secondly Swine flu is now completely preventable by taking Nasal or injectable vaccine if your nearones has got it take this vaccine available in Government Hospital and be free from this disease even not vaccinated if Flu like disease it may be simple inflenza or even swine flu mostly it runs a simple course,death is rare so donot be fearful and panicky.Donot rush for admission to Hospitals as beds in Newdelhi are not sufficient as number of fearful persons askinf admission is increasing daily,be contact with doctors and take medicines at home Dengue or Swine flu both will be cured soon.
