Treatment of HIV / AIDS need ANTI RETROVIRAL MEIDICINES and minimum three drugs either of any one NRTIS,NNRTIS,Protease Inhibitors,Enzyme Inhibitors,Fusion Inhibitor, Integrase Inhibitors .These are usually given in twice or thrice doses as it has to be taken daily and many produce many bad side effects like Nausea,Vomiting, Diarhoea, Anaemia,Leucopenia, Bleeding tendency,Hepatitis, Nephritis, Kidney stones,Lipid abnormality, skin rashes,Stevenson Jhonson Syndrome,Thyroiditis,

Steatorrhoea etc.If these drugs are not given in these doses than Virus may be resistant to these drugs and Treatment fails.

But to take such medicines are so costly that many cannot afford to take regular dose but even given free by ART centre or President programme in USA to take such medicines in such high doses are not easily accepted so person usually takes them regularly of DRUG ADHERANCE IS NOT GOOD AS TREATMENT INTERRUPTS SO CHANCE OF RESISTANT OR TRETMENT FAILURE AGAIN COMES.

According to a new study published in the online edition of Clinical Infectious Diseases, having to take fewer pills daily significantly increases rates of adherence to HIV treatment and gives people better virological outcomes -- basically, lower viral loads. The authors of the study said:Higher pill burden was associated with both lower adherence and worse virologic suppression in both twice-daily and once-daily subgroups. In addition, adherence was higher with once-daily ART [antiretroviral therapy] regimens than with twice-daily regimens. ... However, this difference was minimal and did not translate into better treatment outcomes.

The evolution of antiretrovirals is long and complicated, but with three once-a-day, single-pill regimens -- Atripla (efavirenz/tenofovir/FTC), Complera (rilpivirine/tenofovir/FTC) and Stribild (elvitegravir/cobicistat/FTC/tenofovir) -- now available, medications causing fewer side effects than before and simplified dosing schedules, HIV medications are making adherence easier than ever.

BESIDE THIS IN FUTURE ONCE A MONTH OR ONCE A MONTH IM IV INJECTIONS ODF DRUGS HAS COME AS ENFLUTIDE (FUSION INHIBITOR) OR NANO DRUGS ARE DEVELOPING WHICH WILL BE GIVEN IN SINGLE ONCE A MONTH INJECTION FORM.IF AN VACCINE IS DEVELOPED THAN IT WILL BE VERY USEFUL TO PREVENT THIS DREADLY DISEASE AND IF GENE THERAPY AND STEM CELLS ARE INVENTED IT WILL WRITE A NEW CHAPTER IN ITS TREATMENT.
