Psoriasis and ayurveda
Psoriasis is a long lasting autoimmune diseases which is characterised by an abnormally excessive growth of the epidermal layer of the skin. Abnormal production of skin cells and overabundance of skin cells result from the sequence of pathological events in the psoriasis.
Skin cells are replaced every 3 to 5 day's in psoriasis rather than the usual 28 to 30 day's. These changes are believed to stem from the premature maturation of keratinocytes induced by an inflammatory cascade in the dermis,involving macrophages and t cells. These immune cells move from dermis to the epidermis and secret inflammatory chemical signals i.e. interleukins
These inflammatory signals are believed to stimulate keratinocyte to proliferate.
Where ayurveda is work::
the ayurveda treatment is focus to moved out the dosha ( vaat pitta kapha...in this condition these are inflammatory cascade or inflammatory chemical signals) from the body by various panchkarma procedure. After this panchkarma procedures internal medication is used to correct autoimmune response by which disease is completely managed by ayurveda medication
So patient should select ayurveda treatment in psoriasis rather than allopathic treatment.
