ABOUT US

Sir Hurkisondas Nurrotumdas Hospital & Research Center, one of the oldest private hospitals in Mumbai, instituted 83 years ago in 1925 – with a vision to ameliorate the suffering and agony of patients hailing from the lesser fortunate strata of the society.

The institution is now being supported by Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, having overall objective of making philanthropic interventions for the welfare of the Indian society, in a professional and systematic way. In November 1997, the DAF joined the management of Hospital with the objective to rehabilitate and modernize the heritage hospital serving the poor and middle classes of society. The facilities and the specialties available in the hospital are comparable to any of the leading hospitals in the metropolis.

Located half a kilometer away from Charni Road Station, on the western railway section, near Prarthana Samaj, on Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, Girgaum, in the heart of Mumbai city. Well connected by road and railway, the hospital has a good accessibility from all parts of South and Central Mumbai.
