400 doctors for PHCs, 700 for area hospitals soon: CM

The state government would fill up about 400 doctor posts at the primary health centres (PHCs) besides recruiting about 700 doctors in various government hospitals in the state, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said.
The chief minister on Saturday inaugurated two new blocks at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and also laid the foundation stone for the Regional Institute of Para Medical Science (RIPS) on NIMS premises.
"All people should utilise the accident and emergency facilities at NIMS which is among the best hospitals in the country," the chief minister said on the occasion, adding, "Our aim is to achieve health for all in Aarogyandhra Pradesh (healthy state)."
The ambitious Rs 100 cr Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) project at Rangavaram village in Nalgonda would also be completed. "The building is ready. Facilities and equipment will be provided and the hospital will be inaugurated soon," he said.
